Day 2: Taipei / Yehliu / Chiufen / Nanfangao / Nantien Temple / Suhua National Road / Hualien / Ami Aboriginal Cultural Village *Lunch at own expenses in ChiufeN (BREAKFAST/DINNER)
Yehliu: A peninsula on the north coast of Taiwan, between Taipei and Keelung. It is famous for the curious shapes carved by sea erosion. Chiufen: A mountain town in the Rueifang Township of Taipei County near Keelung. It is a renowned tourist attraction representative of Taiwan and draws many tourists from Taipei during the weekends. Attractions are the retro-Chinese style cafes, tea houses, and souvenir stores within. Do try out on some famous local dish such as Taro and Sweet Potato Ball, etc. Nantien Temple: It's the landmark of Nanfanau and also the center for traditional religion of the local citizens. Aboriginal Cultural Village: A-Mei is an aboriginal tribe in Hualien. In this cultural center, you can see and experience A-Mei people's unique life style and enjoy delicious A-Mei cuisines. Day 3: Hualien / Taroko Gorge (Taroko Park Administrative Office / Taroko Memorial Arch Building / Changchun Temple) / Lingzi & Tea Center / Chihpen Hot Spring (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)
Taroko Gorge: One of the six national parks in Taiwan, its surrounding area is well known for their abundant supply of marble, leading to its nickname, "The Marble Gorge". The gorge itself was carved into the marble by the erosive power of the Liwu River. Light reflected by the dissolved calcium carbonate gives the water in the gorge its striking blue color. Several notable scenic spots are Taroko Memorial Arch Building and Changchun temple. Chihpen Hot Spring: Experience the rustic yet refined hot spring for relaxation of your body and soul. First soak for 3 to 5mins and never more than 15mins each time (Please bring along on swimsuit). Overnight: Chihpen Plaza International Hotel or similar 4*
Day 4: Chihpen / Fo Guang Shan / Mei Non Hakka Village / Spring & Autumn Pavilions / Sin Jiao Jiang Night Market (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)
Fo Guang Shan: The largest Buddhist monastery in Taiwan. Mei Non Hakka Village: You will have the chance to see the traditional Hakka Handicrafts such as hand-made umbrellas, bamboo handicraft, etc. Also you may, at your expenses try on some traditional Hakka food such as Ban Tiao, Ice Block and Lei Tea. Spring & Autumn Pavilions: Where you will be amused by gigantic statues of Dragon and Tiger Pagodas, Hsuan Tien Shangti Temple, etc. Sin Jiao Jiang Night Market: A popular place for delicious night snacks and shopping. Day 5: Kaohsiung / Tainan / Sinying Railway Cultural Park / Take a train for traveling / Pa-Wong Battalion Commander Farm / Sun Moon Lake / Peacock Garden / Wen Wu Temple / Taichung / Fong Jia Night Market (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)
Sinying Railway Cultural Park: Former Sinying Sugar Refinery, a good location with great structure and plants. You may take a train for traveling. Cow feeding and milk tasting at (own expenses) in Pa-Wong Battalion Commander Farm. Sun Moon Lake: The largest lake in Taiwan with a small island called "Guang Hua Island" in the middle of the lake. Northern part of the island looks like a sun while the southern part looks like a moon and that's how it got its infamous name as Sun Moon Lake. Peacock Garden: A garden swarming with flock of peacocks for your viewing and pleasure. If in luck, you may encounter a surprise greeting from one of them. Wen Wu Temple: The temple to enshrine and worship Confucius, Guan Gong and Yue Fei. You may either go on in to have an offering *subject to individual religion or you may opt to relax outside the temple while having an overhead scenic view of Sun Moon Lake. Day 6: Taichung / Miaoli Orchard (own expenses) / Itinerary will change to Sankeng Tofu Street if not within fruit season / Taipei / Martyr's Shrine / National Palace Museum / Handicraft Center / Miramar Entertainment Park / Shihlin Night Market (BREAKFAST/LUNCH)
Miaoli Orchard: Strawberries (Dec-Mar) Peaches & Plum (May-Jun) Pear (Late Jun-Mid Aug) Grapes (Aug-Sep) Star Fruits (Oct) Tangerine (Nov-Jan) Sankeng Tofu Street: Enjoy delicious Tofu and experience the process of Tofu making. Martyr's Shrine: View an elaborate ceremony of change guards hourly. National Palace Museum: The world's largest assemblage of priceless Chinese Art Treasures, one which spans nearly 5,000 years of Chinese History. 101 Shopping Mall: Enjoy shopping in the tallest building in the world currently.
